At the age of four, Liza began her dancing career. She started folk dancing with her father. She danced throughout her childhood and, in junior high, Liza joined the drill team where she excelled at popular dance forms.

At age 16, Liza moved to San Diego and became the Queen of the Cottage of Israel in Balboa Park, where she performed various international folk dances for the community. While performing with the Israeli dance troupe, Liza started incorporating more jazz dance moves into routines. At the same time, she began ballet classes and fell in love with its beauty and grace.

She later performed in the Grossmont College dance show, Breaking Boundaries, expanding her skills in theater and modern dance.

After graduating from San Diego State University, Liza was a disc jockey. Her love of music and dance, made her realize that she wanted to make dancing her career.

Liza received professional training in all genres of American style ballroom, swing, & Latin dance for several years at Mac Vitties Dance Studio in La Mesa, the oldest dance studio in San Diego. Within one month of training, she was already teaching couples and individuals how to dance, both for fun and for special events like weddings.

Liza has also received instruction from a number of exceptional instructors throughout San Diego and won First Place in a Country-Western Two-Step Competition in 2008.

Dance With Liza is the culmination of many years of dancing, training and instruction.
Liza’s San Diego dance company aims tonspire people to connect with their inner child through the art of social dance. Liza’s mission is to teach students to dance effortlessly and confidently inspiring a love of dance.
