Liza is a friendly, patient, and talented dance instructor who has been choreographing and teaching wedding dances as well as country, swing, line dancing, ballroom & Salsa dance in San Diego for twenty-two years. She was professionally trained as a ballroom dance instructor at Mac Vitties Dance Studio where she taught for a few years and then branched out on her own furthering her training with experts in the field. The daughter of an accomplished international folk dancer, Liza has been dancing all her life. Her favorite things about dance are: expressing herself creatively with musicality, being sociable, choreographing, performing, and hosting dance parties. Mark comes with twenty-five years of dance experience and is an enthusiastic, kind, and gifted dance instructor who brings out the best in his students. A Hawaiian native, he loves to laugh and enjoy life and will make learning to dance a joy! His expertise is in Hip Hop, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Bachata, Salsa, Cha Cha, Merengue, and basic social dance. Mark and Liza make a great team of co-instructors: Mark focuses on connection, technique, and lyrical expression, while Liza focuses on dance moves, musicality, and helping the students achieve their goals. Mark also teaches the intermediate west coast swing classes at the Dance Diego parties. He has also been competing in West Coast Swing and Argentine Tango for many years and is an All Star in West Coast Swing. He just started competing in Country Two-Step.
