Liza is a friendly, patient, and talented dance instructor who has been choreographing and teaching wedding dances as well as country, swing, ballroom & Latin dance in San Diego for twenty-one years. She was professionally trained at Mac Vitties Dance Studio where she taught for a few years and then branched out on her own furthering her training with experts in the field. The daughter of an accomplished international folk dancer, Liza has been dancing all her life. Her favorite things about dance are: musicality, being sociable, choreographing, performing, and hosting dance parties. Mark comes with twenty-five years of dance experience and is an enthusiastic, kind, and gifted dance instructor who brings out the best in his students. A Hawaiian native, he loves to laugh and enjoy life and will make learning to dance a joy! His expertise is in Hip Hop, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Bachata, Salsa, Cha Cha, Merengue, and basic social dance. Mark and Liza make a great team of co-instructors: Mark focuses on connection, technique, and lyrical expression, while Liza focuses on dance moves, musicality, and helping the students achieve their goals. Mark also teaches the intermediate west coast swing classes at the Dance Diego parties.
A Texas native, the talented "Queen of Zydeco Line Dancing" has been choreographing and teaching line dancing for over twenty years. Although Lori loves Zydeco, Hip Hop, and R&B, she also enjoys country music and country line dancing. She is especially talented at getting people onto the dance floor at country western hoedowns, weddings, and other events. Lori coaches her own team called the "L" Train and teaches line dancing throughout the week, at special events like Gator By the Bay and December Nights, as well as at Liza's country dance parties.
