Here is what they said: "During our first dance class we were so awkward. 9 weeks, 8 classes, and over 20 practice sessions later we were walking out in front of our friends and family. It was a huge step out of both of our comfort zones. It was so much fun and we were so happy to share the moment with everyone!"

"I may be the first woman ever, whose HUSBAND was the one encouraging dance lessons. The first day we walked in we said, number one, we just want to have fun, and feel comfortable. We had 6 lessons with Liza, and maybe added one more towards the end to brush up on our steps. Our song was "For Once in My Life" by Stevie Wonder, so we danced a Cha Cha. We still remember all of the steps, and EVERYONE was so impressed. Liza was such a pleasure to work with and very down to earth which we loved. She taught my husband to let loose & have fun, as at the beginning he was needing to know what exact degree his feet should be at! Soon into the lessons, we were at ease and just enjoying ourselves. We had so much confidence come our wedding day."
"We were dancing to a Frank Sinatra song so we wanted to ensure that we looked good.....we didn't want it to look stiff and choreographed, but we wanted it to have a bit of panache! She completely understood what we were looking for and helped us plan a dance that we loved. Liza is creative, patient and understands how to help people with different learning styles. I like to learn a dance based on what steps go with a certain part of the song, while my husband likes to have it based on numbers (6-count or 8-count, depending on the step). Liza was able to do both so that we could look graceful in our Foxtrot. We mastered the sway step, box step, numerous turns, and a fabulous finish with a dip. The guests loved it!"
I can't say enough positive things about working with Liza!! My husband and I took dance lessons prior to our May wedding and it became one of our favorite weekly date nights! So much so that we added on extra lessons just because we enjoyed it! Liza met us where we were at (my husband did not have any dance experience) and made us feel so comfortable with creating a dance that really felt like ""us". Day one, she helped us narrow down our song and each week we built on the steps. If we didn't like something, she modified. If we wanted to add a particular show stopping feature, she helped us do it. In the end, we NAILED our dance and we could not have done it without the help and creativity of Liza. Also, she is just a kick ass individual and super fun to hang out with!
"Liza is a bright light of positivity and energy! She helped me break through my fear of making a mistake on the dance floor, and ensured I found the confidence I needed to go beyond the steps and have fun with the dancing itself. She's a natural teacher who loves what she does for a living which turns the awkwardness of learning something new into something fun."
“I was determined to do a “real” dance with my daughter at her wedding, and for a person with limited rhythm and no leading skills, I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to be able to learn to dance. You are a wonderful dance teacher! No doubt I would have been lost without your patience, understanding, and approach. In addition, you were great as a choreographer, putting together the steps and moves, tailored to our abilities and our chosen Father/Daughter song. I now have the confidence to get out on the dance floor, not just for this event, but with my wife, and know that I’m not going to look silly. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, as do my daughter and wife."
"Being in my late 50's, I thought it was time to get rid of my fears of being on a dance floor. So, I decided ballroom dancing, why not? From the beginning, Liza was so sincere, energetic and passionate about sharing her love for dancing.
After my first lesson, I couldn't wait to learn more! By the end of my 4th lesson, Liza had showed me the basics of the nightclub two-step, foxtrot, and swing, all of which left me asking myself "why didn't I try this years ago"!
Thank you Liza, I am forever truly grateful. I am so excited about my new passion for dancing, you're an amazing instructor with an infectious personality. Blessings to you and your family (sorry about your toe)."
"Liza makes learning to dance a fun experience. Her upbeat style and genuine interest in the progress of her students adds to the enjoyment of each lesson. She is very patient and knows how to balance the learning process with the student's abilities. Over the course of the last year she has introduced me to a wide range of dance styles and steps, letting me decide which I preferred to pursue. Best of all, she is always in a good mood, which makes the learning experience so much more enjoyable. If you want to learn the correct way to dance, in a relaxed and fun setting, then Dance With Liza is the right choice!"
"Liza is a wonderful teacher, and I'm enjoying the small size class for learning swing. She really listens to what you need and want to learn, and she's patient while encouraging you to learn more steps. She's also quite delightful and fun. I feel like I'm finally really learning the basics without being pushed too fast or without it being boring or too overwhelming. I will definitely sign up for more classes, and I highly recommend her for other beginners like me."
"My fiancé was nervous about learning a first dance, but Liza is so good at listening to what you want out of the experience, and tailoring both the dance and her teaching to you, that he was totally comfortable and even had fun. I really appreciated that while she super nice and funny, she was efficient and didn't waste your time. She helped us create a first dance that didn't feel over the top choreographed, but was still interesting both to dance and to watch. I never write reviews but I had to write one for her because she is just so good! I am SO HAPPY we found her, and I would recommend her to anyone without reservations."
"Liza has got years (or decades) of dancing experience in a variety of dance genres. We decided to pick a combination slow dance which then switched to a Latin (Mexican) Pop song for dancing Salsa. Liza was creative in the moves she suggested and choreographed, and also would be prepared prior to our classes. Within just 5 lessons we were able to prepare a beautiful, and surprising First dance at our wedding. Our guests loved it, and some didn't even know it was choreographed. We're not professionals, but we already have practice dancing Salsa. Thanks Liza for your help and support, we're very happy we picked you!"
"Liza is amazing - we told her what we were looking for to help us make our first dance fun and memorable and she delivered 110%! Even though our dance skills were VERY basic she walked us through and helped us improve immensely over 10 lessons. She listened to our music and helped us create the perfect choreography to Chris Cornell's "Finally Forever". Her love of dance is evident and she wants her couples to learn and have fun. She is genuine, caring and incredibly patient! Most importantly the dance was a huge hit - all our guests commented on how amazing it was! We would highly recommend Liza for not just wedding dance lessons but any dance lessons."
"I'm a 60 year old guy with 3 left feet. My daughter was getting married and I really wanted to have a memorable father daughter dance.......so........I made an appointment with Liza. Could she work a miracle???? When I met her, I immediately felt comfortable with her. We talked about how many lessons we should do, and she was terrific about fitting the lessons into my busy schedule; the wedding was coming up fast. I picked out the music, and we set off on choreographing the piece. She was always so reassuring, upbeat, and positive about the process. I never felt embarrassed or ill at ease. Needless to say, with just 4 or 5 lessons, I had a beautiful dance under my belt. I can't say that I wasn't a bit nervous when the big moment came, but our waltz on that very special night looked beautiful and felt great!"
