Come learn the most popular style of country partner dancing! This relatively new style of partner dancing is simple, fun, and easy to learn. We will emphasize strong, safe and clear connection between the partnership and fun moves. If you are just starting out or if you struggle in west coast swing or two-step, then try country swing. It's the easiest of all three.

Alright friends… this is your official warning. Mark and Vinh are celebrating their birthdays at Dance Diego, and we are emotionally, spiritually, and rhythmically requiring your attendance. Could you stay home? Technically, yes. Should you? Absolutely not. Because while you’re sitting on the couch pretending “I’ll just relax tonight,” the rest of us will be out dancing, laughing, sweating, spinning, and making questionable life choices in the name of birthday joy. And let’s be honest… if you miss this, you’ll have to live with the knowledge that you chose laundry over friendship. That’s a heavy burden. We don’t recommend it. Here’s what’s going down: Mark will be teaching an awesome Intermediate West Coast Swing class, so come ready to level up your dancing and pretend your connection is always intentional. Then Vinh will be throwing down incredible music all night long — the kind of playlist that makes your feet move before your brain has signed the waiver. Also, because we are classy adults with questionable priorities: bring your favorite dessert and your favorite beverage — alcoholic, non-alcoholic, sparkling, caffeinated, emotionally supportive… whatever helps you celebrate responsibly and dance irresponsibly or whatever makes your little dance heart happy.Important beverage disclaimer: all beverages are welcome, but the good ones must be shared with Vinh. This is not a rule we made lightly. This is birthday law. Violators may be subjected to extra spins, side-eye, or being asked to explain their life choices during the next song. If your dessert has calories, bring it.
If your beverage has bubbles, bring it.
If it pairs well with birthday chaos and West Coast Swing, congratulations — it belongs at Dance Diego.Expect:
Great dancing
Birthday chaos
Hugs
Laughs
Dessert negotiations
Beverages of suspiciously “private stash” quality
Music that slaps
Friends who will absolutely notice if you’re missing This is not just a dance.
This is a birthday celebration.
This is a Dance Diego night.
This is your chance to prove you love us more than your recliner. So grab your dance shoes, bring your good vibes, bring something tasty, and come celebrate with us. Because birthdays only happen once a year… and guilt trips are most effective when delivered with love.
Mark & Vinh’s Birthday Dance Diego

Bring dessert
Bring your favorite beverage — alcoholic, non-alcoholic, sparkling, caffeinated, or whatever makes your taste buds happy and your footwork dangerously confident.
Beverage fine print: must share with Vinh, because friendship has terms and conditionsCome dance with us.
Seriously. We made a flyer and everything.
